If they cost more than Michelin, HELL NO

But you need to be be more specific; Bridgestone uses the Potenza name on many tires, and of course the size.

Are the RE030's any good?

I have potenzas from a couple years ago. No issues to note. A tad noisier than my falken zeis's but theyve served me well for driving 'appropriately' in snow. And in the extreme braking/maneuvering situations ive had with them on, they performed as expected.

But id personally replace them with the Zeis and then buy dedicated snow tires. I dont quite trust the Zeis for winter. Just depends on your intended use. And i dont know if the newer potenzas have improved.

I've got RE050A 245/40 R19 fronts 275/35 R19 rears.

It's a soft tyre, good grip, but noisy.

Just get the Pilot Super Sports, especially since they cost less than the Potenzas.

Always Michelin if you can afford it and they make it in your size. Usually people avoid Michelin because they're too expensive, and they usually are the most expensive for a given size and performance category.

If the price difference is small, or god forbid the Michelin is actually cheaper, then get the PSS.

Had the RE050A's as OEM tires on my Speed 6, from what I remember (my dad was DDing the car at the time) they were pretty damn grippy, but they were completely bald after ~17,000 miles. It's the same treadwear as Hankook RS3s and not too far off from Nitto NT-01 d.o.t comp tires.

Personally I haven't had much luck getting good wear out of any tires on my car, but I'm adding a degree or so negative camber and going with NT-01s. Might as well have all the traction as physically possible.

Get Michelin Pilot Super Sports. You will not regret it. Lots of grip (only just a bit less than road-legal track tire grip), decent ride, not much noisier than an average all-season. Treadwear is better than all of its competitors, too.

I'm using RE050A's in 215/45R18 XL... They are grippy, work somewhat good in wet although the Pirelli PZero's Rosso Corsa's were almost just as good on dry and a bit better in wet... I finally decided to prefer the Potenza's as I spend more time in a dry environment and grip is a priority for me. The wear is very quick, though - if you are looking at a compromise between grip and lasting tire, it might be a good idea to look elsewhere... The PZero's weren't any better when it comes to wear, either...

I have Potenza Pole Positions on the M3, and I absolutely love them. Grippiest tires I've ever run by a wide margin. I live where it never rains though, so I don't know how they do in the wet.

I'm not sure which ones you're looking for, but I've had these Potenzas on my '94 Accord for a while. I love them.

My brother actually put on a set a long time ago he got for dirt cheap during the Firestone/Ford blowout fiasco. After I got the car, I went through a set of Barums and a set of shitty Kumhos and went right back to the Potenzas. For the price, they can't be beat, and they do surprisingly well in snow for an all-season tire. I've had no issues with rain, and in the dry they perform great and predictably. They're also quiet and comfortable when just cruising.
